All our pods are now sold upholstered in Oceanic fabric. Oceanic is a fabric born of the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE designed to combat marine plastic pollution and achieve a waste free environment. It is created entirely from post- consumer recycled plastic – from debris floating discarded in our seas, used to make SEAQUAL® YARN, to bottles thrown away and destined for landfill.
The timber we use for the carcass of our pods is Lumin. Lumin is a sustainable plywood product derived from plantation grown pine and eucalyptus trees. Backed by the long-term vision of Weyerhaeuser, Lumin is cultivated according to well-managed forestry practices and offers excellent performance, aesthetic, and environmental benefits.
The timber we use for exterior of our pods is Panguaneta. Panguaneta is certified in accordance with the Environmental Product Declaration a key instrument that analyses the whole product life cycle and assesses its global environmental impact. The EPD certification allows Panguaneta’s customers to use its products in applications and projects that meet the most demanding environmental prescriptions.
